OREANDA-NEWS  The RFU has agreed to hold a friendly match between the national teams of Russia and Serbia. This was reported by the press service of the Russian national team, said the head of the RFU Alexander Dyukov.

The game will take place in March 2024.

At the moment, the Russian national team is under FIFA and UEFA sanctions and cannot compete in official tournaments. Instead, she takes part in friendly matches. The last opponent of the Russians to date was Cuba, which Valery Karpin's wards beat with a score of 8:0.

The Serbian national team will become the first European opponent of the Russians after their suspension. She is a participant in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where she took the last, fourth place in her group.
