OREANDA-NEWS In the first three quarters of 2023, the trade turnover between Russia and China increased by 29.5%, amounting to $176.5 billion, RIA Novosti reports, citing data from the Main Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China.

During the reporting period, China imported $81.4 billion worth of goods into Russia, showing an increase of 56.9%. Deliveries from Russia to China for the same period amounted to about $94.9 billion, showing an increase of 12.7%. Thus, the balance remains in favor of Russia.

Earlier it became known that Russia and China are working on new agreements in the light of the planned visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Beijing.

On August 29, Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that Putin would come to China to participate in the One Belt, One Road forum. Information about the preparation of Putin's participation in the Chinese forum was confirmed both in the Federation Council and in the Kremlin. On September 20, the Russian president announced at a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Moscow that he had accepted the invitation of Xi Jinping to visit China in October.
