OREANDA-NEWS. The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided to postpone the 2020 European football championship to the summer of 2021 due to coronavirus outbreak.

This was reported on March 17 by the Norwegian Football Federation on its Twitter page. “It will be held from June 11 to July 11 of the next year,” the publication says. Other details have not yet been given.

On Tuesday, a videoconference with the participation of UEFA leaders was held. They discussed the issues of conducting all competitions in Europe.

Initially, it was assumed that the European championship of 2020 will be held from June 12 to July 12 in 12 cities of Europe.
