OREANDA-NEWS  The Ministry of Finance will discuss changes to the tax system with business and the Duma next week. Acting Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told RIA Novosti about the start of the discussion.

"We will discuss it. Everything will be discussed with business and parliament," Siluanov replied to the question whether there are already concrete proposals to change taxation in the country.

It is assumed that the State Duma will be able to make changes to tax legislation in the current spring session.

On the eve of May 7, the head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Alexander Shokhin, said that business agrees with the idea of creating a fairer tax system, but proposes to raise taxes only on the non-invested part of profits.

President Vladimir Putin came up with the idea of introducing a progressive tax system in Russia. According to him, the purpose of the changes is to build a system that will allow "greater returns to solve primarily social issues and tasks facing the state in this area."
