OREANDA-NEWS. Prime Minister Pavel Filip, on a working visit to the eastern Dubasari district, today met representatives of the local public authorities. The sides discussed the most urgent problems faced by the people from the district’s settlements.

The Prime Minister referred to the cabinet’s achievements and objectives set, stressing that the priority goals were stabilizing the financial and social situation, regaining the trust of the residents and development partners, as well as continuing the European integration. “We have chosen the European option, this means that we will take over the European standards in the activity and the good practices of the European Union states. This, however, does not mean that we give up the good relations with the partners from the east,” Pavel Filip said.

In this respect, the Prime Minister touched upon the reforms underway, pointing out including the indexation of pensions and social payments, increase in salaries for some categories of civil servants, as well as the stabilization of tariffs for energy resources.
