Crimean Farmer Gets Sentence for Using Teen's Slave Labor
«The court, taking into account the position of the prosecutor, sentenced the defendant to 10 years of imprisonment with restriction of liberty for a period of 1 year and 8 months. The convict will serve his sentence in a high-security penal colony», the report says.
The court found that the man at the end of May last year, being in a state of intoxication, kidnapped a 15-year-old teenager, who was taken to the territory of an agricultural enterprise, where he was forced to perform hard work. As a ransom for the release of the child, the man demanded 120 thousand rubles from the boy's parents, otherwise he threatened to transfer the minor outside the Russian Federation.
The defendant was detained by employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol and the Berkut riot police of the Main Directorate of the Russian Guard for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
