OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree awarding Izvestia war correspondent Semyon Yeryomin the Order of Courage posthumously. The document is posted on the website of the official publication of legal acts.

"For the courage and dedication shown in the performance of professional duty, to award the Order of Courage to Semen Nikolaevich Eremin, a war correspondent of the limited liability company Izvestia Multimedia Information Center, Moscow (posthumously)," the decree says.

Eremin's death became known on April 20. The journalist was hit by a Ukrainian FPV drone and died of his injuries near the village of Priyutnoye on the border of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and the Zaporizhia region. Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, called the death of the military commander a personal tragedy.
