OREANDA-NEWS. The Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia recognized the activities of the international non-governmental organization European Endowment for Democracy as undesirable.

This was reported on the official website of the governmental agency. The Prosecutor General’s Office concluded that the work of the organization poses a threat to the security and the basis of the constitutional system of Russia.

So, the Ministry of Justice can add the European Endowment for Democracy to the list of foreign organizations, activities of which are recognized as undesirable in Russia.

The European Endowment for Democracy is registered in Belgium. According to its official website, it “supports civil society organisations, pro-democracy movements, civic and political activists, and independent media platforms and journalists working towards a pluralistic, democratic political system.”
