OREANDA-NEWS  Loading the Yars intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) into a silo launcher, which was called a signal to the West, is a routine procedure. Military expert Dmitry Kornev told about this in an interview with Izvestia.

"This is a routine procedure, which is not an extraordinary event. Equipping or retrofitting the Kozelsky missile compound cannot be called a sensation. Yars is now the most massive Russian intercontinental ballistic missile. It is three-stage, solid fuel. Now it is the basis of our nuclear missile shield," he said.

The analyst suggested that the video of the Russian Defense Ministry shows a mine-based Yars-S missile, which carries more powerful warheads. "The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation does not report what kind of missile it was, and there is a lot of room for fantasy," Kornev said.
According to him, not all downloads of intercontinental ballistic missiles into mine launchers are shown.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense showed the loading of the second Yars ICBM in two days into the mine launcher in the Kozelsky missile compound. Journalists of the British edition of the Daily Mail called the loading of a missile capable of hitting targets in the United States and Great Britain a signal to the West.
