OREANDA-NEWS In Russia, an pilotless armored car "Chisel" is being created for assault groups. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the developer company JSC "Remdiesel".
Other functions of the promising machine include the delivery of ammunition, the transportation of goods and the wounded, and the charging of radio stations and quadrocopters.
New products of Remdiesel will be presented this year at the international forum "Army". In addition to the Chisel, the Titan armored car is under development — a protected vehicle for airborne units, intelligence and special forces.
Earlier, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu pointed out to the management of the Remdiesel plant the need to increase production rates. During the visit to the enterprise, the head of the department inspected armored vehicles, in particular, the MT-LB multi-purpose armored personnel carriers modernization line. "Now everything is on schedule, something ahead of schedule. If there is an opportunity, we need to increase the pace," Shoigu said.
