OREANDA-NEWS  Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the opening of a metro station at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport. He stated this in an interview KP.RU .

"The metro will come to Vnukovo. It will be convenient for both local residents and millions of air passengers of one of the largest airports in the country," the mayor of the capital said.

Also this year, the construction of three metro stations on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line — "Yakhromskaya", "Lianozovo" and "Fiztech" should be completed. Thus, the light green branch line will be extended to the Severny district in the North-Eastern Administrative District (SVAO).

Sobyanin also spoke about plans to create three new radii of the Moscow metro. It is planned to open the Troitskaya branch in the south-west of Moscow, Rublevo-Arkhangelsk in the north-west and Biryulevskaya in the south. In addition, Moscow is going to build several new stations on existing lines — Suvorovskaya, Yuzhny Port and others.

Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin, together with Russian President Vladimir Putin, opened the movement of the river electric tramway. It will run regularly from the Kiev railway station to the residential complex "Heart of the Capital".
