OREANDA-NEWS  As of September 6, 2023, Russian farmers have collected 112 million tons of grain. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev at a joint meeting of the State Duma committees on control and agrarian issues.

"To date, 112 million tons of grain have already been harvested. For other crops, the collection is also quite dynamic. In general, we expect to reach indicators exceeding the average annual values for all agricultural crops," he said.

Patrushev also noted that winter sowing is underway in the active phase. According to plans, in 2023 the area for winter crops will be 20 million hectares.

In addition, the Ministry controls the provision of farmers with material and technical resources. "Of course, our new regions are under special control," the minister added.
