OREANDA-NEWS Russian society will normally react to the planned changes in the tax sphere, which will lead to the introduction of progressive taxation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with journalist Dmitry Kiselyov. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the head of state, the details of the changes have yet to be worked out, and their purpose is to build a system that will allow "greater returns to solve primarily social issues and tasks facing the state in this area."

Among the planned steps, Putin called reducing the tax burden for large families. The President explained that the stability of the tax system will be important, including for businesses, whose representatives are asked to determine its parameters and no longer adjust them. The government and Russian deputies should prepare relevant proposals in the near future, he said.

During a recent address to the Federal Assembly, Putin proposed introducing a differentiated tax system in the Russian Federation and eliminating loopholes for tax evasion or understatement. It was noted that in addition to increasing rates for wealthy citizens, it is necessary to reduce the tax burden on families, including through tax deductions.
