OREANDA-NEWS It is necessary to raise the birth rate and increase life expectancy, then it is possible to stabilize the country's population, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with journalist Dmitry Kiselyov for Rossiya 1 and RIA Novosti.

In an interview, Putin noted that the Year of the Family has been announced in Russia, and a new national project "Family" is emerging. Regions with fertility rates below the national average will receive assistance in the amount of at least 75 billion rubles by the end of 2030. The President added that this is decent money, you just need to use it wisely.

"We need to raise the birth rate and increase life expectancy, and then we will stabilize the country's population. Of course, this is the most important integral indicator of our successful work. Or maybe it's a job that requires additional attention from all administrative levels and authorities," Putin said.
