OREANDA-NEWS Rostec enterprises prematurely delivered a batch of complexes of the remote mining engineering system "Agriculture" to the Russian troops, the Rostec press service told reporters.
Rostec has prematurely sent a batch of complexes of the remote mining engineering system (ISDM) "Agriculture" to the troops," the report says.
The press service recalled that the structure of "Agriculture" includes a combat vehicle on a chassis with a wheel formula of 8x8, a transport-loading vehicle, as well as transport-launching containers with engineering ammunition. The principle of operation of the ISDM is similar to that of multiple launch rocket systems, however, solid fuel-powered ammunition equipped with various types of mines is used for mining.
It is possible to prepare for a salvo from "Agriculture", enter the data of the flight task and the parameters of self-destruction of mines remotely. In addition, the system is able to automatically shoot at the calculated aiming points, receive the coordinates of the falling shells and transmit them to the military.
According to Bekhan Ozdoev, industrial director of the Rostec complex of conventional weapons, ammunition and special chemicals, the special operation and the failed counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed that competently placed minefields can become an insurmountable obstacle for the enemy. "Agriculture," he said, can install such intelligent minefields at high speed even in hard-to-reach areas.
"At the same time, the ability of explosive devices to deactivate or self-destruct at a given time ensures safe and rapid clearance after the cessation of hostilities. Importantly, "Agriculture" increases the combat capabilities of units to solve mining tasks, observing all international agreements on the prohibition or restriction of the use of mines, booby traps and other devices," the press service quotes Ozdoev.
