Sollers launched serial production of Argo cars

OREANDA-NEWS Sollers has started serial production of Argo commercial vehicles at a new plant in Ulyanovsk, RIA Novosti correspondent reports from a solemn online ceremony.
"Today we are ready to launch production on the full cycle of the Sollers Argo commercial low-tonnage car, starting from body welding to assembly and use of a single modernized paint complex of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. Thus, we are expanding our capabilities at the industrial site of UAZ," said Adil Shirinov, head of the Board of Directors of Sollers.
He also noted that the key feature of the Argo model is deep localization. Next year it will be reached at the level of 60%.
Previously, the Argo model was produced at the Sollers plant in Yelabuga, it became known about the final transfer of its release to a new plant in Ulyanovsk in August.
