OREANDA-NEWS  Ukrainian troops have again attacked the unique training center of the Zaporizhia NPP, the station's press service reported on the Telegram channel.

"The APU drone was neutralized over the roof of the building of the UTC ZAES, where the world's only full—scale simulator of the reactor hall is located," the publication says.

As a result of the attack, no one was injured, there was no damage.

The press service of the station emphasizes that the attacks on the territory of the station and the city of Energodar, which have been going on for two weeks, pose a threat to nuclear safety.

The APU has repeatedly tried to attack the unique training center of the station, the previous time was on April 9. On Sunday, April 7, the press service of the NPP reported an attack by a Ukrainian UAV on the dome of the sixth power unit. A little earlier, the UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck in the area of the cargo port. The next day, April 8, a kamikaze drone was shot down over the station. He fell on the roof of the sixth power unit.

As reported by the director of the NPP Yuri Chernichuk on April 14, about 120 Ukrainian drones are recorded in the area of the station per week.

IAEA Director Rafael Grossi, speaking at a meeting of the UN Security Council on April 15, called for an immediate end to attacks on the Zaporizhia NPP. He stressed that nuclear safety at the plant has already been weakened.

In 2023, Grossi proposed to the UN Security Council five principles for ensuring the safety of the NPP: to prevent attacks on the station, not to place heavy weapons and military there, not to endanger the power supply of the station, to ensure the protection of all structures and systems that ensure the safe operation of the station, not to take any actions that undermine these principles.

The NPP is located on the left bank of the Dnieper River near the town of Energodar. It is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of the number of units and installed capacity.
