OREANDA-NEWS The authorities of the city of Ardatov, Nizhny Novgorod region, stole a spruce tree from a pensioner to install it on the main square. This is reported by the Telegram channel Mash.

"We drove yesterday, a whole squadron, I thought there would be some kind of struggle, the taking of the Bastille. A tractor, four cars, 15 people with a saw, with axes. It couldn't have occurred to me that they would be sawing at me under the window," said the owner of the tree. She added that she had been growing spruce for 60 years.

The workers who came to cut down the spruce refused to answer the owner's questions. By the evening of the same day, the local House of Culture published on social networks a spruce tree installed on its territory, according to a resident of the Russian city, very similar to her tree.

Earlier, a resident of the city of Minyar in the Chelyabinsk region said that a local official stole a fir tree from her plot. However, the authorities denied this information, noting that the tree was cut down during sanitary felling, and the territory where the spruce grew is now abandoned.
