OREANDA-NEWS   The first Deputy head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko will control the construction of the new city, which is planned to be built in the Kherson region. This was announced on Sunday by the acting governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo.

In early December, the acting head of the region reported that construction will be carried out in the Kherson region, comparable in pace with Mariupol. According to Saldo, the coast of the Sea of Azov from Mariupol to Genichesk will be turned into a tourist and nature reserve cluster, while a new city will be built in the Kherson region.

"On behalf of the President [Vladimir Putin], the Government of the Russian Federation has already collected initial data and started developing a project for complex development. The implementation of the project will be controlled by the presidential administration and personally by the first deputy head of the presidential administration Sergey Kiriyenko," Saldo wrote in the Telegram channel.

The location for the new city should be the Arabatskaya Strelka peninsula. "New residential quarters will be built on it with beautiful views of the Sea of Azov and the Gulf of Sivash with all the modern infrastructure necessary for life, schools and kindergartens, roads and communal facilities. Conditions will also be created there for the organization of new jobs in the field of tourism, recreation and recreation," the acting governor said.
