OREANDA-NEWSThe Russian authorities will fully open the borders, including for foreigners, only after agreement with Rospotrebnadzor and the authorities of other states. This was announced to journalists by Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov during the conference call.

"First of all, the position should be formulated in the government itself. And by taking into account the opinion of our epidemiologists, and also the information that we receive from foreign countries. So far, no decisions have been made," Peskov said. He added that the information about the opening of the borders would come from the government headquarters.

The representative of Putin also called the current situation with closed borders "extraordinary". This is due to the fact that citizens of different countries, in fact, are stuck with each other. But, as Peskov added, there hasn't been a detailed discussion between the presidents on this issue yet.

Earlier, an air expert Roman Gusarov on the air of "National News Service" recommended the government to open the borders step by step, as the threat of coronavirus has not gone anywhere. Meanwhile, about 40% of Russians are planning vacations abroad in case of complete removal of restrictions due to the pandemic.
