OREANDA-NEWS  The annual Mayak Film Festival will be fully funded from its own funds, the Kinoprime Foundation does not want to use state support.

Guests of the festival will be able to see independent films.

According to the Vedomosti newspaper, the first screening will take place in early October. It will be fully funded by Kinopraim and private partners. The organizers do not even want to claim public funds. Independent films will be shown, including those supported by the Roman Abramovich Foundation.

Among the films created with the participation of this company were the box office hits "Text" and "Chernobyl". The foundation also participated in the production of Kirill Serebrennikov's paintings "Petrovs in the Flu" and "Tchaikovsky's Wife", as well as "One Little Night Secret" by Natalia Meshchaninova.
