OREANDA-NEWS Russia and the United Arab Emirates should step up joint work in the field of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, UAE Economy Minister Abdullah bin Tuk Al Mari said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Thursday.

"We must invest and cooperate in the field of digitalization, in the field of artificial intelligence and in science and technology ... Now there is such a call to action that I would like to emphasize. We must intensify the work of our council (the Intergovernmental Russian-Emirati Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation - ed.) between the UAE and Russia. The great role of this council is to anticipate and achieve those goals that affect the development of the future economy," he said at the SPIEF session of the Russia-UAE Business Dialogue. The Minister thanked the Russian side for the hospitality and told about the composition of the UAE delegation to the SPIEF.

"We thank you for welcoming us as guests. We represent 18 companies in our pavilion... The delegation includes 45 members, representatives of various fields: industry, hospitality industry, logistics, business communities, trade enterprises," he said.
