OREANDA-NEWS The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, reacted to the words of French President Emmanuel Macron that the Russian Federation justifies its actions on the territory of Ukraine with false reasons. Zakharova urged the French leader to "read the materials" about what is happening in Ukraine in these years. The representative of the department wrote about this in her Telegram channel.

Zakharova cited as an example one of the incidents when Ukrainian neo-Nazis painted a fascist swastika on a monument to the victims of the Holocaust in the Mykolaiv region. According to the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there have been thousands of such cases over the years. She stressed that Russia will constantly remind about them if for so many years of being in the "Normandy format" high-ranking officials did not pay attention to it.

"Only the one who didn't want to see them didn't see them. But we will remind you," the representative of the ministry concluded.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a so-called "military special operation" in Ukraine, explaining its purpose by "demilitarization and denazification." Putin said that he had decided to protect "people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for 8 years."

On February 26, Macron said that "this war will be a long one." "All the crises associated with it will also continue," the politician said.
