Times: British Prime Minister Intends to Supply Ukraine with "More Lethal" Weapons

It is noted that Johnson told the cabinet about this, while he did not specify which weapon he had in mind.
According to the paper's sources in defense circles, Kyiv needs "long-range weapons," including heavy artillery.
As one of the supply options, the Times calls the AS-90 Vickers self-propelled artillery mount. At the same time, the publication emphasizes that in the case of deliveries of larger systems, the Ukrainian military will have to undergo training in neighboring states.
Earlier, Britain's Permanent Representative to the World Organization, Barbara Woodward, said that London was ready to be a security guarantor for Ukraine if Kyiv applied.
She recalled that London provides Kiev with significant military assistance and humanitarian support, and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson speaks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky almost every day.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Kyiv was negotiating with Britain, Germany, the United States, Turkey and France on security guarantees.
He recalled Article 5 of the Washington Treaty, which states that if someone attacks one of the NATO member countries, then all other members are obliged to defend it.
