OREANDA-NEWS   The Russian dramedy "Hello, Mom" with Aglaya Tarasova will be presented at the San Sebastian International Film Festival in Spain, which will be held from September 22 to 30, the press service of the online cinema Start reported.

"The international premiere of the film "Hello, Mom" directed by Ili Malakhova will take place within the framework of the International Film Festival in San Sebastian (Spain), which will be held from September 22 to 30. The story of late adulthood and overcoming childhood traumas will be presented in the Young directors section — one of the most prestigious programs of the festival," the message reads.

The film "Hello, Mom" became the directorial debut of the screenwriter Malakhova, whose work as a co–author of the script participated in many international and Russian film festivals - Cannes, Locarno, Kinotavr.

According to the plot of the picture, the main character Kira is 36 years old, she works in the call center of Pulkovo airport and lives with her younger sister Vera and two nieces from different fathers. A few years ago, their mother, who had once kicked her daughters out of the house, went missing. It's time for Kira to recognize the death of her mother and move on: get a death certificate, inherit, separate from her sister and nieces. Start living your life at last. But Kira doesn't want to change anything. The Russian premiere of the film will take place as part of the competition program of the Vyborg Film Festival, which will be held from August 4 to 11. The cast includes Aglaya Tarasova, Daria Savelyeva, Leri Bakuradze, Grigory Chaban, Igor Grabuzov and others.

Earlier it became known that as part of the out-of-competition program of the 80th Venice Film Festival, a new film "The Palace" directed by Roman Polanski with Russian actor Alexander Petrov will be shown.
