OREANDA-NEWS The State Duma Commission to investigate the facts of foreign interference in the internal affairs of Russia has asked the Ministry of Justice to conduct an audit against the writer Boris Akunin (pseudonym Grigory Chkhartishvili) for his subsequent inclusion in the list of foreign agents.

"The commission... She sent an appeal to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation with a proposal to conduct an audit against the writer G.Sh.Chkhartishvili (B.Akunin)," Commission Chairman Vasily Piskarev told reporters.

Earlier on Monday, it became known that Rosfinmonitoring added the writer to the list of persons and organizations in respect of which there is information about their involvement in extremist activities or terrorism.

According to the legislation, banks freeze funds of persons included in this list and suspend service.

Last week, the AST publishing house decided to suspend the distribution of books by Akunin and Dmitry Bykov (recognized by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation as a foreign agent).
