OREANDA-NEWS  Former head of AVTOVAZ, Bo Inge Andersson, is appointed to the post of president of Yazaki Europe. This Japanese company is one of the world's largest manufacturers of harnesses, wires and components for the automotive industry. As reported by Automotive News, the appointment took effect on July 14th.

Bo Andersson, 61 years old, replaced Horst Randolph on this post. Thus, he returned to the world car industry. In Mr. Andersson's biography, there is a gigantic experience in global procurement in a number of the world's largest automakers.

Recall that in 2009 Mr. Andersson headed GAZ, which then had big losses. But already in 2012 "GAZ Group" received a profit of 8.8 billion rubles. In 2013, Mr. Andersson became the president of AVTOVAZ, where he was actively engaged in the optimization of production and debugged chains of suppliers, but he failed to replicate the success of GAZ in Togliatti. At the same time, under his leadership AVTOVAZ launched two fundamentally new models - the sedan LADA Vesta and the high hatchback LADA XRAY. In the spring of 2016, he was removed from the post of AVTOVAZ President.
