OREANDA-NEWS   The analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a survey of the market of new cars in Russia and it calculated the revenue from their sale in January - May of 2017. According to the results of the survey, during this period, Russians spent 650 billion rubles for the purchase of foreign cars, which is more by 8% than in the same period of the last year.

The leader by revenue in the Russian market is Japanese Toyota, which received 80 billion rubles from the sale of new cars - 5% less than a year ago. The second place of this rating belongs to the Korean KIA (74 billion rubles, + 32%). The third place among foreign brands is occupied by German Mercedes-Benz, which managed to earn 60 billion rubles (-8%). The Korean Hyundai (58 billion rubles, + 18%) and German BMW (44 billion rubles, + 8%) are among the top- five of leaders.

As analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" noted, the share of foreign cars in the total revenue was 90% in the Russian market. Accordingly, the rest 10% is revenue from sales of domestic brands, which is equivalent to 67 billion rubles (+ 12%).
