OREANDA-NEWS. On September 5th, GAZ Group signed an agreement on the distribution of GAZ vehicles with the Philippine diversified business group Eastern Petroleum, which is engaged in the development of the environmental transport system in the Philippines and it is actively participating in the state program for the renovation of public transport. The parties agreed on the delivery of GAZelle Next buses to the country, reports the press service of the GAZ Group.

In accordance with the agreement, Eastern Petroleum receives the rights to distribution and after-sales service of GAZ light commercial vehicles in the Philippines, including exclusive rights to sell 17-seater Gazelle Next minibuses and GAZelle Next Citiline buses.

The Public Transport Renewal Program in the Philippines is a large-scale government program to replace obsolete buses. At the first stage until 2023, it will be replaced more than 100,000 units - minibuses, medium and large buses - in Manila and in its vicinity and more than 150 new bus routes will be organized. The key task of the program is the complete modernization of the country's transport system, the basis of the new system is reliable, safety and comfortable buses that are meeting high environmental standards.
