OREANDA-NEWS. Great Wall Motors plant will start the production of cars in the industrial park "Uzlovaya" in the Tula region in 2018. The agency "Tass" was informed by the regional government chairman, Yuri Andrianov.

"In 2018 it will begin the production of cars Great Wall Motors. In parallel with the construction of the plant the manufacturers of components for cars are planned to enter the industrial park: plastic, modular and technical. Some of them will be supplied from the neighboring Kaluga, where it is located the production of Volvo and Volkswagen. There are already five applications to participate in the industrial park "Uzlovaya" by the automotive profile "- said Mr. Andrianov.

According to the source of agency, there are piling works in the site. Delays are due to objective reasons. We have coal region, and in the place where it was to appear the shop there were karsts holes, required additional investigations. The delay is four months, but the plant will be built on schedule, all the problems have been solved", - said the head of government of Tula region.

Investment in the project will be $ 500 million. "We set a goal to create not a" screwdriver production" in the "Uzlovaya", not an assembly, but to achieve 70-75% of localization in the production of cars," - said Mr. Andrianov. The plant will produce four models of cars under the brand Haval: H2, H6 Coupe, H8, and seven-seat H9 –up to 150 thousand vehicles per a year. Cars produced at the Tula plant will be sold first of all in the Russian market.
