OREANDA-NEWS. The car market of Russia, which continued to grow in June, nevertheless could not return to the top-five of European leaders, by remaining in the sixth place in Europe. The leader by sales remains Germany in June, where 327,693 cars were sold (-3.5%). the UK came on the second place, whose car dealers sold 243,454 cars (-4.8%). As noted in the British Society of Automobile Manufacturers and Auto Dealers (SMMT), negative dynamics is fixed for the third month in a row, due to record sales in the first quarter and caution of British consumers ahead of parliamentary elections. However, in June, the drop in demand slowed somewhat, and the level of sales almost returned to predicted values.

The third result was shown by France – 230,926 cars, which is 1.6% more than in the previous year. Italy goes the next with an indicator of 187642 sold cars (+ 12.9%). As noted in the Italian Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ANFIA), this is the best result since 2009, with sales growth reaching double digits. The top-five of leaders is closed by Spain, the car market of which grew by 6.5% and it was 131,797 cars in June.
