In Russia, more than 1800 expensive cars are equipped with the ERA-GLONASS system

OREANDA-NEWS. The introduction of an emergency response in accident system ERA-GLONASS in our country caused a number of concerns among automakers, especially premium and luxury segments. Some of them even reported about a possible cessation of import of expensive cars to Russia. Meanwhile, the company-operator - JSC "GLONASS" - resulted in statistics on equipping the cars with this system.
So, in mid-August 1824 cars of the premium and luxury segment in our country are already equipped with the ERA-GLONASS system. The company operator informed about this the portal RNS.
Among this quantity, the most of cars with the ERA-GLONASS equipment fall on the BMW 7 Series - 967 units. The equipment of the emergency response system is also equipped with 433 Bentley cars of various models. The ERA-GLONASS system is also installed on 249 Porsche 911 vehicles. Maserati (131 units) is the leader among expensive Italian cars with ERA-GLONASS equipment. The system based on GLONASS is already belonged to 30 Rolls-Royce cars. In addition, in Russia there are 11 Ferrari cars with the ERA-GLONASS equipment.
In total, as noted in the company-operator, in mid-August in the RF ERA-GLONASS system was installed in more than 790 thousand cars. At the same time, their number is growing rapidly. So, if at the end of 2016 there were registered 161.5 thousand such cars, then in 2017 their number grew by 628.5 thousand units.
