In Russia there are about 10 thousand luxury cars
OREANDA-NEWS According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", as of January 1st, 2017 in Russia there are 9.7 thousand cars of Luxury segment. It corresponds to only 0.02% of the total volume of parc of cars in the country.
Among this volume, the largest share (36%) falls on the Bentley brand, whose cars are registered in the amount of 3.5 thousand units. Then Maybach comes (with account of Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Klasse model) with an indicator of 1.8 thousand units (the share is 18%). The top three is closed by Rolls-Royce (1 thousand units), the share of which was about 11%.
Among those luxury brands that officially sell cars in the Russian market, it should be noted Maserati (892 units), Ferrari (694 units), Aston Martin (397 units) and Lamborghini (234 units). In addition to these, in the parc there are also such exotic for our country brands as Buick, MG, Lotus, Bugatti.
Over half of all luxury cars in Russia are registered in Moscow (5,5 thousand units). Other subjects of the Russian Federation lag behind the capital with a large margin. So, in St. Petersburg it is registered a little more than 900 such cars, in the Moscow region - 800 units.
Among non-capital regions by the volume of parc of cars in luxury segment the leader is Krasnodar Territory (258 units), which is followed by Sverdlovskaya (129 units) and Rostov (118 units) regions. In other Russian regions, this figure is less than a hundred units.
