OREANDA-NEWS The analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" carried out a study of the parc of cars in Russia as of January 1, 2017 and it determined the largest regional parks.

According to the results of the survey, Moscow has the largest car parc in the country, in which there are 3.78 million passenger cars. In the second place by this indicator there is the Moscow region (2.56 million units). As a result, the capital region has 15% of the Russian parc.

The leader among non-capital subjects of the Russian Federation is Krasnodar Territory (1.72 million units), which took the third place in the overall standings and even bypassed St. Petersburg (1.67 million units). The top five is closed by Rostov region (1.26 million units).

The top-10 of regional passenger car parcs in Russia also includes: Sverdlovsk region (1.24 million units), Tatarstan (1.2 million units), Bashkortostan (1.15 million units), Chelyabinsk (1.03 million units) and Samara (996.3 thousand units). In total, these ten regions-leaders own 40% of the Russian parc of cars.
