OREANDA-NEWS. Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the Russian market of new cars, which covered manufacturers from China. According to the results, sales of Chinese cars (according to AEB data, taking into account the LCV) were 2,570 units in September of 2016 - less by 38% than a year ago. Thus, their sales in Russia fell for the third consecutive month: in July – by 36%, in August - by 40%. At the same time, if we consider the sales statistics for the first 9 months of this year, the figure reached almost 23 thousand cars, which is less by 13% than the year-ago result.

The leader of sales among Chinese automakers in Russia is still Lifan. Thus, in January - September of 2016 sales of cars of this brand were 12034 units, by showing an increase of 35%. As a consequence, the Lifan has more than half of total sales of Chinese brands in the Russian market.

The second place in this ranking was occupied by Chery, whose sales were 3,860 units for the period, which corresponds to the first 9 months of 2015. The top-three of leaders is closed by Geely with the result of 3794 cars (-53%). 

Sales of vehicles of other Chinese brands look much more modest, such as: DFM (951 units; + 18%), Brilliance (777 units; + 2%), the FAW (692 units), Changan (385 units; -5%), Zotye (190 units), Haima (114 units; -44%).
