OREANDA-NEWS   Russian dealers of Volvo sold 799 cars in June – by 11% more than a year earlier. As a result of six months of 2017, Volvo sold 3158 cars, which is more by 35% than in the same period of last year.

According to the press service of Volvo Car Russia, the bestseller of the brand in the Russian market remains compact crossover ХС60, sales of which grew by 66% to 1,560 cars in January-June. Supplies of ХС60 will be continued until the end of production of the current generation of the crossover in September. It is expected that the first-generation cars will be available in the salons of Russian Volvo dealers before the end of this year. At the beginning of 2018, Russian dealers will have a brand-new HS60, first introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March of 2017.

The second result in terms of sales in the first half of the year was shown by the mid-size xC90 crossover - in the reporting period 881 cars of this model were sold (+ 19%). High demand at the start of sales was also shown by new items of 2017 - S90 sedan and V90 Cross Country all-terrain vehicle, the deliveries of which began in Russia only in March. The V90 Cross Country all-terrain vehicle with the result of 225 cars handed to customers took the place confidently in the top-three of the Russian sales of Volvo. Sedan business class Volvo S90 was able to show the result of 173 sold units this year.

As the sales director of Volvo Car Russia, Alexei Tarasov, noted, sales of Volvo in Russia show a positive trend and outperform the market average. This is facilitated by the emergence of new models that are in high demand among buyers, and an increase in production quotas for the supply of cars to Russia.
