OREANDA-NEWS A new pedestrian street will appear in Moscow. This was announced by the mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin, inspecting the comprehensive improvement of Shkolnaya Street

The head of the city is sure that thanks to Shkolnaya, the residents of the Tagansky district will have their own Arbat. 

Shkolnaya street with a length of about 800 meters connects the streets of Volunteer and Rogozhsky Val. The first attempts to turn it into a second Arbat were made in 1980, but the project was not completed. Again, work on the comprehensive improvement of the street and its surrounding territories was started in May this year. After completion Shkolnaya street will become a pedestrian, the movement of vehicles on it will be prohibited.
