OREANDA-NEWS. KAMAZ exceeded its business plan for the first quarter of 2016 by 110% by selling in the domestic market more than 4180 units of trucks against 3700 vehicles for three months of the last year. Thus, the growth in sales of trucks "KAMAZ" in January-March of 2016 was 13%.

According to General Director of Commerce and financial services of company "KAMAZ", Andrei Ignatyev, thanks to the coordinated work of the team of sellers in this period we were able to move the European competitors and to win 60% of the Russian market. Also the major transactions that were concluded at the end of the last year with Gazprom, Rosneft, Stroytransgaz contributed to the success. At the same time there were used new, modern approaches in sales policy, it was reformed system of incentive for dealers and plants-partners.

According to Andrey Ignatyev, first of all, the demanded in the market were the new main tractors, KAMAZ-5490 4x2. In the so-called "old segment" the flagship is KAMAZ-6520 and KAMAZ-65115 keeps its position. These three models have about 65% of total sales of KAMAZ.

As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", the business plan of KAMAZ for 2016 presumes the sale of 32 thousand vehicles, among which 25 thousand units will be sold in Russia, 7000 - in the foreign markets. Recall, in 2015, the company reduced its sales in Russia by 31% (to 22.6 thousand vehicles), exports - by 4% (to 5.9 thousand units).
