OREANDA-NEWS. Dedicated work of people who have mined the black gold, constructed industrial facilities and built the railroad from Krasnokamensk station is behind this milestone date. Each year that passed is valuable in its own way. For example, the millionth cubic meter of overburden was shipped in 1986, and 2005 was marked by a record-breaking mining volume. State-of-the-art administration and amenity buildings with a spacious canteen and an assembly hall, as well as a new high-performance crushing and grading plant were commissioned in 2015.

“Today, Urtui occupies a dignified place in the fuel and energy sector of the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Far East Region and exceeds its competitors both in terms of coal quality and extraction rates,” PJSC PIMCU Chief Engineer  Boris Prosekin noted in his greeting speech addressed to the employees.

On the anniversary day, bulldozer operators Nikolai Abramov and Aleksei Cherentsov, BelAZ drivers Vladimir Nyupenko and Evgeny Varenik, UAZ driver Pavel Smorodnikov were awarded decorations of honour for services to PJSC PIMCU. Sixteen employees of the Coal Strip-Mine were awarded honorary certificates and valuable gifts from PJSC PIMCU Director General and Urtuisky Coal Strip-Mine Director.

“This year, we plan to mine 3 million tons of coal. To achieve this, it is necessary to carry out overburden removal and mine preparation work within the volume of 10.6 million cubic meters. Limestone is also mined at Urtuisky Coal Strip-Mine, with anticipated annual volume of 12,000 tons. It is planned to mine some small volumes of sand and gravel mix and to ship 520,000 tons in dry weight. Forecast for fulfilment of the production program is entirely positive,” Director of Urtuyskoye Surface Mine Office Oleg Klimovich says.

Along with unquestionable fulfilment of the production program, an important objective for 2016 is retooling the excavating and industrial machinery fleet. Six dump trucks with load capacity of 90 tons and an excavator with a bucket size of 15 cubic meters are planned to be purchased.

Children from sponsored school No. 1 headed by Director Lyudmila Gaidabura came to congratulate coal miners on the anniversary. Choreographic performances, songs and a cake decorated with thirty candles became a beautiful final chord of the celebration evening.
