OREANDA-NEWS. Global Invacom Group Limited ("Global Invacom" or "the Group"), a satellite communications ("Sat Comms") equipment provider listed on the Singapore Exchange and the U.K. AIM Market, has partnered with PT ANTA Mediakom to deploy up to 14,000 Very Small Aperture Terminals ("VSAT") to an Indonesian customer to facilitate communications and online financial services.

PT ANTA Mediakom, a telecommunications equipment distributor and systems integrator specialising in VSAT and radio, has commenced shipping the first 4,500 C-band VSAT terminals designed and developed by Global Invacom's U.S. subsidiary Skyware Global.

By 2017, PT ANTA Mediakom is expected to ship a total of 14,000 VSATs to facilitate two-way high-speed satellite communications. The VSATs can be rapidly installed on buildings where traditional land-based fibre optic cables have not been laid previously or are insufficient to meet demand.

Founded in 2001, PT ANTA Mediakom's existing client base includes government agencies and corporations in Indonesia. It will scale up to tap available opportunities across the country, which has a population of over 250 million people.

Global Invacom Executive Chairman, Mr Tony Taylor, said: "This strategic venture enables us to tap Indonesia's growing demand for financial services. Our collaboration with PT ANTA Mediakom underscores our strong track record in the satellite communications market and marks our continued penetration into Southeast Asia, enabling us to consolidate our presence in this promising market."

Mr Danny Sudirman, General Manager of PT ANTA Mediakom, added: "Through Global Invacom's Sat Comms technology, we can offer our clients the latest reliable online services. We are confident that our expanded suite of services will boost sales and add value for customers as income growth and purchasing power in Indonesia continues to rise."
