OREANDA-NEWS. Mitsubishi has completed the official sales of electric Mitsubishi i-MiEV on the Russian market. According to Wroom.ru site that was informed by "MMC Rus", the distributor of the brand, the resumption of the supply of this model in Russia in the near future is not planned, because the current ruble exchange rate against the Japanese yen is making the car too expensive. However, in case of changes in the economic situation, Mitsubishi i-MiEV might return to Russia.

Compact electric hatchback Mitsubishi i-MiEV made its debut in the Russian market in 2011. Originally, the car was offered for the price of 1 million 799 thousand Rubles, but later it was reduced to the price of 999 thousand Rubles. According to the agency "AUTOSTAT", for the first eight months of this year only eight units of this model were sold in Russia, and during five years, the official dealers of the brand sold 267 electric cars Mitsubishi i-MiEV.
