OREANDA-NEWS.  The number of official dealers, operating in the market is likely to continue to decline. In an interview with the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" it was announced by the president of GC "Modus" and Vice President ROAD, Alexey Leshchenko. According to the expert, today dealership business is risky, low-yield, and it has almost no potential.

At the end of 2016 the market will be 1.3 million cars, said Mr. Leshchenko. In this case the economic situation will only worsen. The drop in demand in the market is exacerbated by the pressure from distributors which, for the most part, do not expect to make concessions for car sellers.

According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" in Russia in the autumn of last year, there were 3.8 thousand dealerships that have been less by already 200 centers than the year before. As previously announced President of ROAD, Vladimir Mozhenkov, by the results of 2016 the number of dealers "may be reduced up to 3.5 thousand dealerships." Meanwhile, according to the data of "AUTOSTAT", in July of 2016 there were 3533 dealerships in Russia. Thus, despite the fact that new companies continued to contract, as a whole the number of DC can further be reduced until the end of the year.
