OREANDA-NEWS. The press-service of OJSC “LUKOIL” distributed the statement in connection with messages of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation on possible withdrawal of licenses of OJSC “LUKOIL” on a number of deposits in the Republic of Komi and Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous region.

The statement goes that in August and September 2006 the Federal agency on bowels has directed the notice to the corresponding branches of LUKOIL in which it is offered to eliminate the revealed lacks on these license sites within six months.

Now LUKOIL is carrying out exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons on 406 license sites in Russia and 17 abroad.

For all time of its activity the Company was always timely fulfilling the instructions of supervising bodies and LUKOIL was withdrawn no license. Therefore the Company will use the best efforts to eliminate infringements in target dates.
