OREANDA-NEWS. During the first nine months of the year Nevinnomyssky Azot, a part of EuroChem - the largest Russian producer of mineral fertilizers - produced merchant-grade products worth RUR 8.7 billion. The enterprise hit its production target ahead of schedule (106.4%).

At the same time there was a trend towards scheduled output slowdown due to planned upgrades and major overhauls.

During January - September 2006 ammonia output was 776,000 tonnes, or 91% of the level of the corresponding period last year. This was due to a 1.5-month upgrade shutdown of ammonia shop No.1B in June-July 2006.

On organics side, methanol output was 90,000 tonnes (94%), and that of acetic acid – 119,000 tonnes (96%).
