OREANDA-NEWS. The Lifosa JS company, a subsidiary of EvroKhim in Lithuania, Lithuania’s Economy ministry and the Agency to support entrepreneurship in Lithuania have signed an agreement to fund the project titled “Use of local renewable energy sources in the production of sulfuric acid for electric energy generation.” 

The project is aimed at the optimum use of heat produced in the production of sulfuric acid for generation of electricity and heat.

The project’s total cost exceeds 6.6 million euros. Under the agreement, the European Union will allocate financial assistance to the amount of 1.7 million euros from its regional development fund and 18,000 euros from general funding sources. The EvroKhim company will allocate 4.9 million euros for the project.
