OREANDA-NEWS. Consumer prices in the Russian Federation increased in 2006 by 9,0 percent as compared with the growth by 10,9 percent in the last year, the Federal Service of State Statistic informed.

Economists and analysts questioned by Reuters predicted inflation at the rate of 9,1% on the average; the estimations varied at the rate 9,0-9,5. Monetary powers were promising inflation up to 9,0 percent.
