OREANDA-NEWS. In 2007 Ilim Pulp Corporation will spend over 48.6 million rubles to enable Bratsk Pulp and Containerboard Mill to carry out its planned environmental measures. The funding is almost 2 million rubles up as compared to 2006.

The largest part of the sum — over 14.6 million roubles — will be traditionally invested to carry out major overhaul and bring up to date industrial waste treatment facilities.

This year the mill will continue bringing up to date its aeration system of biological treatment aerotanks. The upgrading of the first aerotank SBO-2 will cost 4 million roubles.

To increase performance reliability of industrial waste treatment facilities and to eliminate soil pollution as far as possible the mill plans to replace the system of mineral sludge removal in the second and third sludge collectors. In 2007, 2.4 million roubles will be spent towards that end. Bratsk Pulp and Containerboard Mill will pay much attention to the local waste treatment at its production units.
