OREANDA-NEWS. As a result of their talks in Moscow, representatives of Russia and Iran will make a public statements concerning the settlement of the situation over the payments for the construction of Bushehr NPP in Iran, a representative of Atomstroyexport (Russia), the general contractor of the project, said on Friday, March 9.

He said: "We have had intensive talks for two days. Now the talks are almost over. We are preparing an official statement and will make it public today."

The Russian-Iranian talks started in Moscow March 7. The Iranian delegation is led by the director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Mohammad Saidi.

Earlier Russia asked Iran to urgently resume the financing of the project and to solve the problem of equipment deliveries from third countries.

"Since January 17 Atomstroyexport has received no single payment under the project," the company’s Vice President for Finances Yevgenia Neimerovets told journalists before the talks.
