OREANDA-NEWS. On March 16, 2007 CNS Software, a software development and marketing company headquartered in Research Triangle Park, announces the release of a new product under their popular WinRadar Product Suite called WinRadar Reporter, reported the press-service of CNS Software. This new software simplifies Active Directory management, inventory control, compliancy, and auditing. It makes managing an Active Directory environment easier and assists in assuring a Windows network is compliant with innovative custom and canned reporting features that allow users to create reports showing changes to Active Directory or Windows Management classes and even scheduling reports to run and email automatically.

WinRadar Reporter gives network administrators an efficient and timely way to gather information about their company's network. For example, what software or updates are installed on each machine or what permissions users have. Such reports prove to be extremely useful in illustrating internal controls or to report on access controls specifically for compliancy regulations from the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and others. "With the new WinRadar Reporter, a simple click of the mouse schedules a daily emailed report to the IT manager showing inventory, permissions, and more. This tool will not only report on the Active Directory database but also on all Windows Management classes. It's a key tool in helping companies keep their Windows network compliant," says Thomas Kucmierz, President of CNS Software.

Canned reporting options include service packs and hot fixes, user permissions, event logs by user and/or event ID, daily account lock-out, software inventory, and more. Custom reports can be based on the Active Directory database or Windows management classes, and be printed, saved to PDF, or other file formats for further processing. Also included is a report scheduler for creating and delivering reports via email at specified intervals for complete automation.
