OREANDA-NEWS. March 19, 2007 against the order of “Stroytransgaz” OJSC there were delivered 12 new KAMAZ trucks to the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) for Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean Pipeline construction, reported the press-centre of  KAMAZ. The project is to be carried out in the area with rigorous climate conditions of ever frost and underdeveloped transport infrastructure. The route of the pipeline will go through taiga, marshlands, numerous rivers, including the Lena. Under such circumstances the customers chose KAMAZ-6522 all-wheel drive dump trucks of the heavy-weight class family. The vehicles satisfy the constructors’ requirements due to their high carrying capacity (19 tonnes), increased maneuverability and adaptability to the local climate and road conditions. The dump trucks will be used for transportation of sand, road metal and other inert materials and also of loads for the new building.

There were made about 10 improvements of KAMAZ-6522 trucks purposely for exploitation in the north conditions: an essentially winterized cab, a start liquid heater, accumulator batteries heating, etc. For winter time there was also arranged exhaust gas heating of a car body due to which a load doesn’t freeze to the bottom. The vehicles will get after-sales services in the autocenters of the official KAMAZ dealer “Raritek” Ltd. in Lensk and Neryungry.
